Observations and findings
While the concept of sustainable development is increasingly present, the solutions to align them lacking and this is primarily because the company now is based on the actual purchase, and this very behavior that slows growth: over-consumption is the antithesis of sustainable behavior, untenable.
Despite recent developments that can be seen in the fields of transport and food, others, subject to the phenomena of modes, are much more complex to solve. And it is noted particularly in clothing. The fashion in this field refers to how to dress, according to the taste of a time in a given region. But fashion has also become according to Dominique Boisvert * a "social mechanism that allows constant renewal desires by making it yesterday's outdated and serves mainly to justify the replacement of perpetual objects of consumption. "
The objects that try to clothing or accessories become obsolete and discarded before they are useless. This phenomenon of over-consumption is harmful in many respects: firstly because it leads to overproduction heavy repercussions: pollution, resource exploitation, poor conditions of workers, but it is also harmful because it creates a social point of an imbalance between those who can and who can not follow the system.
It may be noted, however, from some creators and producers, efforts in the design of products (organic clothing, fair ...) but nothing is proposed to change the act of purchase. The clothes vary in shape or composition, but the solutions come down to be a fashion as the others: the mode of sustainable ethics.
On the part of consumers, we also note a change in behavior: in Canada for example, a new design is being developed very quickly, voluntary simplicity, or how to reduce its dependence on money and speed and foster sustainable behavior and respectful society.
